DIOMEDE TO PAY OFF
RATINGS WILL TRANSFER TO ACHILLES
(PBE9S ASSOCIATION TELEQBAM.) WELLINGTON, February 22. The Minister for Defence (the Hon. F. Jones) has been advised that H.M.S. Diomede will leave Aden on February 23, arriving at Sheerness on March 12. She will pay off, and the New Zealand ratings and the Imperial loan ratings with uncompleted service will be transferred to H.M.S. Achilles, which is expected to commence service with the New Zealand Govern* ment shortly after the Diomede arrives in England.
