ASSOCIATION HOLDS ANNUAL ■ ' i ■ MEETING • •—: A very* successful year was vevieweS ih the annual report of the Marist Brothers Old Boys' Association, which was presented to the annual meeting of the association last evening. The excellent record ,of the debating club was maintained, the club securing third place in the competition conducted among all the clubs in the Dominion. The drama branch gained fourth place in the British Drama League's Competition. Outstanding successes had been gained by the rifle club, which won the association's cup in the junior section. Mr J. McCarthy won the Ashby Cup for the second year in succession. The club gained sixth place in the New Zealand teams' championship. The Association football club won many awards during the last season. A harrier branch was formed during the year and is expected to develop into one of the most popular of the club's activities. It secured the award for the gamest team in the race from the Takahe to Akaroa. A. O'Conndl won the junior championship of Canterbury.
