AUSTRALIAN PLAYERS TO VISIT JAPAN

The Japanese Golf Association has arranged for the six Australian professional golfers who recently visited the United States to take part in an Australian-Japanese golf tournament in Japan in April.
RUSSLEY CLUB
The summer championship of the Russley Club was concluded over the weekend. The course was in good order but the heavy rain had slowed up the fairways and the scoring was not as good as usual. ■ The best scores were:— Ist 2nd 3rd 4th

A mixed Canadian foursome was played on Saturday, when the following were the best scores:—J. Gibson and Miss B. Blair, gross 82, handicap 11, net 71; H. V. Sharp and Miss A. Hine, 84—12—72; J. L. Blair and Mrs Blair, 86—14—72; T. Easterbrook and Mrs Easterbrook, 91—16—75; L. V. Jacobsen and Mrs Jacobsen, 94—19—75; A. W. Spence and Mrs Spence, 91—15—76; E. Trippner and Miss O'Carroll, 95^-19—76.
HAREWOOD CLUB
The last of the "summer" competitions* a morning and afternoon round of stroke play on handicap, together with trophy for best aggregate score, will be played next week-end. The "bogey ringer" will close also on that day. At present Mr L. J. Kincaid still holds a lead with 14 up on bogey, but is closely followed by Messrs Crowley, Dawson, Rogers, ahd'Tavener, 13 up.
