HARD COURT MATCHES
COMPETITIONS CONTINUED
The heavy rain of the previous two or three days made grass courts unfit for play on Saturday afternoon, and competition and- representative ( games set down for the turf courts at Wilding Park were postponed. Hard-court matches were not postponed, but some confusion seemed to exist regarding the association's intention in these competitions, and several teams did not appear at Wilding Park.

B GRADE St. James' beat Burwood Park by 13 sets to 3. A ... South Christchurch beat Addlngton Catholic by default. North Linwood beat Heathcote by deWoolston beat St. Martins by default
C Grade •Rlccarton Domain beat Barrington by 12 sets to 4. .Elmwood beat Shirley by 12 sets to 4. Fendalton beat Cathedral by 13 sets to 3. Avonside Church beat St. Paul's by default. •
