At the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church yesterdav afternoon, the Rev. L. A. North celebrated the wedding of Beryl Constances eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs S, Andrew. "Ashburton, and William Kennetly;:only son of Mr and Mrs W. T. Coad. Oakley avenue, Hamilton. Mr G. Martin was organist. Mr S. Clinton Williams sang a solo, and Mr Andrew escorted his daughter, j The church had been decorated with pink cosmos, hydrangeas,. petunias, and cream water-lilies. The bride* wore a frock of ' pink crepe satin, made with cowled neckline, tight-fitting -sleeves with tiny satin buttons from elbows to -wrists, and back panel, trimmed with buttons, falling loosely to the swathed waistline, then continuing as, part of the skirt and widening into a train, weighted at each corner with a pink tassel Her veil of pink embroidered tulle fell. from a-, coronet of pink' pearls and orange blossom, and she •carried a trailing bouquet of begonias, gladioli, carnations, and sweet peas. The brTde's'sister, Miss Lillian Andrew, was bridesmaid. She wore ah ankle-length, frock of apple green Ottoman silk, made with high neckline and capelets falling over the bell sleeves, caught in at the wrists. It was trimmed with bronze and green velvet flowers with centres of apricot toning to crimson, and her green felt hat was banded wrsi bronze velvet and finished with an ostrich plume. She carried a bronze basket of begonias and gladioli toning from apri-, cot to crimson. The Rev. B. R. Hames was best man. The wedding reception was held at the Winter Garden, The bride's mother wore an ensemble of blacls satin-backed, crepe and a wide brimmed hat. and carried a bouquet of shaded pink and crimson begonias. The bride travelled in an ensemble of navy blue Afgalaine, trimmed with red taffeta, and a red hat with taffeta crown and plaited straw brim. DANCES ARRANGED On Monday evening, at the Caledonian Hall, the management of the select old-time dance will present the fifth annual Highland.carnival. The Evans-Campbell band will play Scottish airs, when suitable and novelty extras on the bagpipes, banjo, and side-drums will be given by Messrs Patterson, Woodward, , Wilson, and Broad. Johnnie .Campbell Scotcb hats will be distributed, and Scottish shortbread will be on the supper menu. -The gallery is open for specr tators.
