NEW BUILDING FOR TIMARU
(ÜBOIiX TO m PUIS.) TIMARU, February 21. The demolition of the building at the corner of Stafford and Beswick streets to 'enable a new.three-storeyed building to be erected for the Bank of Australasia will begin on. Monday. The contractor, Mr G. H. Mason, of Wellington, has arrived, and if practicable, entirely local labour will be employed on the work and a greater part of the materials to be used will be purchased from local firms. The contract provides that the building will be finished within 40 weeks.
