Thompson, chief clerk at the Lyttelton office of the Union Steam Ship Company, and at present actingmanager, has received advice that he has been transferred to the Launceston office of the company, as chief clerk. District High School The committee of the Lyttelton District High School has purchased and installed at the school, a radio set for the use of pupils, particularly during the educational sessions. For some, years the school has had the use of a set owned bv a member of the teaching staff, but as this was no longer available, the committee decided to purchase one.. Harbour Light Theatre William Powell and Myrna Loy, the two artists who scored such a success in "The Thin Man," appear together again in "Evelyn Prentice," a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer comedy-drama, which will be presented at the Harbour Light Theatre this afternoon and evening, and on Monday evening. The story is a powerful one from the novel of the same name, and with Powell and Miss Loy heading the cast, first-class entertainment is assured; The short subjects include a Charlie Chase comedy, a coloured traveltalk, a cartoon, and a newsreel. Sailing In addition to the three boats already announced, the Falcon (S..J. Sutton) will represent Lyttelton in the race for the Irene Stacey trophy, at Redcliffs this afternoon. ■ . ;
