MOTOR-CYCLIST'S DEATH
POOR LIGHT BLAMED BY CORONER
(PUSS AMOCMTIOX TILBdEAM.) WELLINGTON, February 15.
"I am satisfied that the mam cause of this accident was the deficiency of the motor-cycle's light, which could not be seen by the motor driver," said the coroner, Mr Gilbertson, iat the conclusion of an inquest into the death of Colin Martin Fraser, aged 21, who died in hospital on December 21 after his motor-cycle had collided with a car driven by Dr. O'Regan on the Happy Valley road on the previous night. "This thing," said tthe coroner, holding up a torch which, according to the evidence, was the motor-cyclist's only light, "almost invites disaster. I am satisfied that the doctor was not to blame." ■ ~ . A verdict was given accordingly.
