Mr L. G. Moss arrived in Christchurch by the Wahine yesterday morning, Mr J. R. McKenzie arrived from the north yesterday morning. • Mr J. D. Hall arrived in Christchurch from Wellington yesterday morning. Dr. O. H. Frankel returned to Christchurch by the steamer express yesterday morning. Dr. D. E. Hansen returned to Christchurch frofn Wellington yesterday morning. Mr J. Sutherland Ross, managing director of Ross and Glendining, Ltd., Dunedin, was a passenger from the north yesterday morning. Mr H. D. Brodie, overseas passenger manager for the Canadian Pacific Railways, arrived from the south by the express last evening. Mr lan R. Donald, manager of the State Theatre, will leave this evening on a short visit to Auckland. Mr J. R, Grange, Peterborough street, left for Wellington last night. A resolution of sympathy with the Town Clerk (Mr J. S. Neville) in the loss of his wife was carried at a meeting last evening of the Heathcote County Council. Mr L, J. Schmitt, general manager of the New Zealand Tourist and Publicity Department, with headquarters at Wellington, arrived from the north yesterday morning, and is staying at the Clarendon Hotel. Messrs T. Gough and J. J. Valentine left Christchurch yesterday by the Union Airways liner Kotuku for Palmerston North, where they intended transferring to the same company’s Miles Falcon aeroplane fpr Hamilton. Mr L. F. de Berry was elected an honorary life member of the West Christchurch Old Boys’ Association at the annual meeting,, and a vote of appreciation of the good work he had done for the association was passed. Mr H. Kitson, chairman of the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand, will leave on a visit to Australia early next month, and will represent the Dominion at the conference of Australian stock exchanges at Melbourne. Old boys of the Waitaki Boys’ High School in England have presented Mr G. F. Hart with an inscribed silver cigarette-case in recognition of his great performances during the Rugby tour. Mr C. E. Shaw, of the Dunedin office of the Government Tourist Department, has been transferred to the head office at Wellington. He has been replaced by Mr J. Gillon, of the Wellington bureau. Mr W. A. Kilner, who has, been attached to the cruise staff of the liner Otranto, has resumed his duties in the Dunedin Tourist Office, and Mr J. D. Kerr, who had been relieving during Mr Kilner’s absence, has returned to Wellington. Mr A. E. Armstrong, managing director of T.
