BROADCASTING RACES
LEGALITY TO BE TESTED IN AUSTRALIA
(Received February 14, 1.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, February 13. It is reported that proceedings are to be instituted shortly by the Metropolitan Racing Club to test the legality of the broadcasting of races during their progress or within a reasonable time after the last race. Action will be taken in the, Supreme Court by way of application for an injunction against one of the broadcasting stations, and the plaintiff will seek an account of the damage already done by previous broadcasting.
