The monthly meeting of the Mount' Herbert County Council was held. There were present:—Cr. A. B. Gardiner (chairman), and Crs, Greig,.Gray, Jenkins, and Steel. . , .. The chairman referred to,the death of King George V., and asked councillors to stand in silence. . - ' Cr. Steel said that Mr G, L.. Lancaster had given a bluegiun to. tpe council and that this would be used for stringers for a bridgeat' Gover- ** It was decided to send In to . the Main, Highways Board the allocation approximately the same as last year with the additions for the road diversion at Garlick’s corner, the widening of the bridge at the foot of Dyer’s pass and the widening of two small bridges at.
Port Levy. It was decided to to have, the six miles from to Port Levy declared a main .highr.
