Weather fair, warm, and hasy. Winds—South-westerly* north of Kawhia and East Cape; elsewhere north-west to westerly, moderate to strong generally, and reaching gale force at times about Cook arid Foveaux Straits, backing later to south-westerly in the latter area. Seas (New Zealand waters)— Rough to high in the Foveaux* Strait area; rough south of Cape Egmont and about Cook Strait; elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman—Light to moderate variable winds in the northern portion, with smooth to moderate seas. Moderate to strong westerly winds later backing to south-westerly in /'the southern portion, with rather rough seas. ■ - .

CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER
