TO THB BDITOB Ot THB PBBSB. Sir,—Many, players must thank "Bunker" for introducing the subject of the municipal golf links. I think his idea is to draw attention to the finish—or lack of finish—of the work. • Loads of mixed stones, earth, clinker, etc., have been dumped on exposed sand —generally in the fairway—and roughly spread, and sometimes grass seed has been planted in and over this mess. Mr Barnett himself would not put up with this, but he does not play here—l wish he did. The work is badly done, and there is no excuse and Mr Barnett is not to blame at all. There is a full'-paid man on the job, and the worx is in his charge and under his direct control. One could also write a lot about the conditions of the etc., BUNKER NO. 2. February 13, 1936.
