Population of Tokelau Islands at August 1, 1935:—605, 593, 1198. Population of the mandated territory of Western Samoa at September 30, 1935:—27,977, 26,176, 54,153. Total population of the Dominion of New Zealand, its dependencies and mandated territory 835,409, 804,547. 1,639,956. New Zealand Proper Population (excluding Maoris) of New Zealand proper at December 31, 1935:—Males; 758,846; females, 733,440; total, 1,492,286. Maori population 39,600, 36,334, 75,934. North Island Population (including Maoris): — 521,437, 493,146, 1,014,583. Population (excluding Maoris): — 483,534, 458,347, 941,881.
