MONTHLY MEETING HELD The monthly meeting of the Canterbury Land Board was held in the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch., commencing on Tuesday, February 10, when there were present Messrs J. F. Quinn (chairman), T. Gee. E. Macdonald, R, F. Henderson, and D. C. Kidd A total of 72 cases was submitted for consideration, including seven applications to transfer and seven applications for land.

The following applications to transfer were approved;—Section 1, Block XII., Lowry Peaks S.D., “Cheviot"— estate A. C. Barnes (deceased), to M. Walls. Section 4?,. Block XTV„ Waitaki S.D.. town of Glenavy—P. W. Storey to G. V. Sadler. Pt. Sections 1A and 18, Blocks VII. and 111., Ellesmere S.D.. reserve 959. Lake Ellesmere—W. Benhett to A. Burrows. Section 5, Block XL. Arowhenua S.D., “Orakipaoa,” H. M. Napier and M. J. Prattley to F. C. Rogers, The following applications for - land were approved:—Sections 11 and 12, Hanmer Extension No, 6, leased to Mrs F. E, Adams. Pt. Section 7, Highbank Settlement, Block 11., Corwar S.D., Year to year license to S. L. Breach. Island in the Ashburton river, fronting Lot 2, D.P. 9353, Pt. R.S. 7186, Block 1., Wakanui S.D. Year to year license to J. Anderson. Crown land in Conway riverbed fronting sections 1,2, 5,7, 8,9, 10, Conway village— Year to year license to Mrs E. Wilding. Rural section 37203, Rangiora S.D.— Year to year license to J. W. Chamberlain. Section 10, part reserve 4100, Selwyn Fishing Hut site. Year to year license to S. J. Knight.
