MISSING LAUNCH
FALSE HOPES FOK CHEW RAISED
(PBfcSB ASSOCIATION TELEOHAM.) , NEW PLYMOUTH, February 6. A rumour gained wide currency today, and was even broadcast, that Mr W. F. McLeod and his son, Angu3 McLeod, had been rescued from their launch, which")ias been missing from New Plymouth since the week-end storm. High hopes were raised among their relatives and friends of the missing men when the rumour took definite shape that the men were in the Wellington Hospital. The rumour, however, had no confirmation, and no hope is entertained of the men being found alive.»
