ECONOMIC PENSIONS
TO THE EDITOB Or TUB PRESS. Sir.—ln *The Press" this morning there is a statement by the Minister for Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, that the Government intends to review the pension laws this comsession. There is one anomaly that I hope the Government will not overlook; that is, putting a seven years' limit on formers soldiers as regards the date of their marriage in order to obtain an economic pension for their wives and dependents. A disabled soldier is entitled to this benefit for his wife and family even if he is over this time limit in getting married. And I hope the new Government will scrap this unfair and stupid rule.—Yours, etc Ist CI.B. I February 3, 1936.
