NEW BRIGHTON CASH CLUB A meeting of the New Brighton Cash Cycling Club was held this week with Mr W. J. Palmer presiding. Mr W. Good reported that arrangements were, well m hand for an exhibition boxing tournament, organised by the club, to be held in the Pier Hall on December 4. The club had secured the services of several champions, including Norman Fisher, the New Zealand champion, and Percy Hawes, who would both give exhibitions. Harry Watson, the road champion, and W. Good, New Zealand track champion, would give exhibitions on the rollers. It was decided to apply for a permit to conduct a 10-mile road race on November 28, beginning at the Bower Hotel at 7 p.m. It was decided that the club colours be black with a red band.
