NAVY LEAGUE SEA CADETS
WEEK-END AT PORT LEVY An enjoyable week-end was spent at Port Levy by nine ratings of the Navy League Sea Cadet Corps, accompanied by Lieutenant E. Collins, N.Z.S.C., and Pay-Lieutenant H. Farr, N.Z.S.C. Tne party left Redcliffs on Sunday afternoon in the two whalers belonging to the corps and the yacht Cherub, and arrived at Port Levy, at 5.30. On Sunday evening and Monday morning, the boys went out in the whalers and gained useful experience in handling the boats. Camp was broken on Monday afternoon, and after a slow beat out of Port Levy a fast run was made to Lyttelton. Week-end trips to the bays in Lyttelton harbour for the junior boys, and longer cruises for the senior ratings will be arranged during the summer months if sufficient new recruits are enrolled.
