(CONTINUED FROM PAGE 6) ANNUAL MATCH AT NEW BRIGHTON ANGLICAN AND METHODIST CLUBS In the annual Rugby football match between the New Brighton Anglican and Methodist Young Men's Clubs. played at the Rawhihi Domain on Saturday afternoon, Methodist, the holder of the challenge cup, was beaten by five points to three. The teams were: Anglican—A. Aynsley; S. Besley, M. McCree, I. Pockson; C. Seaward, R. Watson; B. Napper; N. Seaward, S. Wroth, G. Wear, N Mitchell, P. Warner, H. Rainey, F. Webb, and B. Rice. Methodist—A. Cockle; J. Roberts,' F. Wayman, K. Bendall; N. Fisher, A. Wayman; N Dean; R. Hooker, R. Britten, C. Skinner. H. Leadley, J. Haines, L. Hudson. D. Gibson, and E. Scott. Methodist won the toss, and kicked off with the sun. For the first 10 minutes, play was very fast, Methodist pressing in Anglican's territory. Fisher and Dean were prominent in the attack. Soon, however, the Anglican forwards took possession, and gave the ball to the backs, who handled it well, and after several attacks on the Methodist line, McCree scored a good try under the posts.
