FORTY-HOUR WEEK
•* PRINCIPLE APPROVED AT GENEVA GENEVA, June 20. The International Labour Conference, by 81 votes to 32, approved the principle of the 40-hour working week. The resolution does not commit governments to adopt the 40hour week, but urges them to ensure, if the measure is adopted, that wages are not reduced.
