TRUSTEE OF TRAVIS BEQUEST
Mr H. Pearce, the remaining trustee of the Travis bequest, declined yesterday to comment on the suggestion that insufficient use was being made of the trust funds. He said that the administration of the fund was purely a matter for the trustee, and that nothing could be served by his reply to outside criticism. Dr. J. S. Elliott, of Wellington, president of the New Zealand branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society, had criticised the administration of the bequest and urged that .half of the surplus should be transferred to the King's Jubilee Gift Fund for Cancer Research.
