PERSONAL NOTES FROM. LONDON (tooir ora envrr conar.sroNDEKT.) LONDON, June 1. Mr Allan Sutherland (Wellington) intends visiting the Brussels exhibition and Paris, and to tour England and Scotland. He is on a five months' round-the-world trip. Mr Sutherland, who is on the staff of Hansard, is taking a holiday during the Parliamentary recess.
Wing Commander Arthur Coningham, D.5.0., M.C., D.F.C., A.F.C., recently on duty with headquarters of the Sudan Defence Force at Khartoum, iias been appointed for air staff duties with the coastal area, Lee-on-thc-Solent. As a flying instructor, he is classified Al, and in 1930-32 was on the staff at the Central Flying School.
Mr Aubrey T. Watson (Christchurch) wemt to Birmingham to attend the British Industries Fair, and he then intends to go to the British Thomson-Houston works at Rugby on a tour of inspection. Mr Watson e::pects to spend some years in England in order to extend his practical experience and technical knowledge in electric and hydraulic engineering.
Mr Trevor W. Kenning (Stoke) his loft England for a short visit to Mew York, but he expects to be here again by the end of June.
In the absence through indisposition of Sir James Parr, the three New Zealanders who attended the last levee of the season held yesterday by the King .at St. James' Palace were presented by the Minister for Health, Sir Hilton Young. Those presented were Colonel G. J. Smith, C.8.E., J.P, (Christchurch), Lieutenant-Colonel K. B. Tennent, M.M., and Flying Officer D. Morrish, R.A.F. (both of Whangarei).
