CAMBRIAN SOCIETY
OPENING OF SEASON
The Cambrian Society opened its season with a successful meeting in the Toe H Hall on Saturday evening. About 50 members and their friends were welcomed by Mr J. G. P&rry,. who occupied the chair in the , absence through illness of the president, Mr C. E. Jones. Several new members were enrolled. The opportunity was taken to bid Jarewell to Miss Roberts, who will leave this week on a trip to Wales. Items were given by the following: Mr Ernest Rogers, songs in Eriglish and Welsh; Mrs Filer, songs; Mr. and Mrs Filer, duets; Mr E. R. C&yjjiU, humorous stories; Mr W. games. A competition was won by Mrs Phillips. Mrs Bradbury made a gift of several community song books to the society, and community singing was enjoyed, after which supper was I served.
