"The Press" Jubilee Number
With our ordinary issue this morning we add a 24-page supplement tc commemorate the Silver Jubiiee of the accession to the Throne of his Majesty the King. The supplement brings the total edition of " The i " Press " to-day to 52 pages. This is the largest edition that " The Press " j has ever produced and is one of the largest that has ever been printed by any newspaper in the Dominion. The contents have been carefully chosen and displayed. The supplement attempts to cover, as comprehensively as possible, the outstanding events of the reign of King George and Queen Mary and to give intimate glimpses of the life of the Royal Family. It will in some measure, we hope, contribute to the general knowledge of our readers of the part that the King and Queen and their children have played during the most remarkable period o' the Empire's history, and help those of the younger generation to understand the depth and strength of the loyalty that we as a people owe and gladly pay to the British Throne. We feel sure that we shall be amply rewarded by the appreciation of our readers of our contribution to the celebration of a notable occasion.
