Mrs George Macdonald (Lowry Hills. Cheviot), who has been the guest of her mother, Lady Clifford, at "Avonholme," Fendalton, for the races, will return home this morning. Mr and Mrs Gilbert Grigg ("Haldon Pastures," Hororata), who have been the guests of Mr and Mrs John Montgomery, "Holmbroolc," Fendalton, returned home last evening. Mrs O. R. Kresse and Miss Mildred Kresse ("The Mill House," Fendalton) will leave on Tuesday on the first stage of their journey to Chicago. Mr Kresse will visit Wairoa before leaving for America. They intend to return to Christchurch in October. Mr and Mrs: Gordon Fulton (Okuku Pass, North Canterbury), who have been visiting Christchurch for the races, returned home last evening. Misses Nancy and Jean Wilson (Bulls), who have been visiting Christchurch, left for the north last night. Buchanan, New Brighton. Miss Emily Blain (Oxford) is spending a few weeks in Auckland with her aunt, Mrs C. Marshall. She will stay later with Miss D.
