HOUSE AND GKASS SEED DESTROYED / , A six-roomed house at Puaha, Little River, owned by Mrs H. E. Vanstone, together with the furniture and £IOOO worth of grass seed stored in it, was completely destroyed by on Monday. The insurance on the house, which was occupied by Mrs Vanstone and her daughter, is reported to be small. HOUSE TOTALLY DESTROYED (SPKCU& TO THS fKSSB.) BLENHEIM, April 23. A large house in Purkiss street, Springlands, owned by Mr Noel Paton, was totally destroyed by fire about 2 o'clock yesterday morning. Mrs Paton was away, and when the fire was discovered the house was well alight, and neighbours were unable to do anything. The house is outside the area served by the fire brigade.
