QUEENSLAND EARTHQUAKE
«. .MINOR DAMAGE REPORTED BRISBANE. Apr.E lThere was an earth tremor which, was felt in the metropolitan arc-a about noon along the coastal fceit from Brisbane to Rockhampton. No extensive damage and no ir.juries are reported. At Gaynaah, in the Burnett district, several buiidines were cracked and stock on the shelves ci shops was thrown to the floor. Alarmed residents at Kingaroy, where two distinct shocks were felt, rushed iijto the streets. The most severe tremor in lha metropolitan area was at Gribb Island, where homes were violently shaken and residents terrified.
