SOCIAL AND PERSONAL •<j Mrs Desmond (Jnwin (Irvine street) returned yesterday from a visit to Miss Joan Maling tChristchurch). Mrs C. E. Johnstone (Wellington), who is the guest of her daughter, Mrs J. A. Mullins ("The Cliffs''), will leave on her return home to-day. Mrs W. H. Walton (Russell square) returned home on Saturday from a visit tc. Te Kopuru and Hastings. Miss Olga Palmer (Wai-iti road) is visiting Mrs E. Pike ("Crohamhurst," Fairlie).
Mrs J. Lynch (Balfour), Mrs D. L. Popple well (Gore), and Mr and Mrs J. M. Gibson (Sherwood Downs), left for the south by motor on Friday. Mrs W. D. Revel! ("Cadogan," Sefton street) is visiting her sister. Mrs H. Thompson (Ashburton).
Mrs A. M. Nicholson (Melbourne) is the of Mrs W. Evans (North street).
