REMAINING IN ENGLAND
MR OSCAR GARDEN OITKKKD NEW POSITION Advice has been received in Christchurch by Mrs F. Garden, that Mr Oscar Garden, who, in 1931, made a solo flight from England to Australia, will probably not be returning to New Zealand for some time yet. It was reported recently that after his recent serious illness in France he intended to take a health trip to New Zealand. He has now been offered, and will accept, if his health holds good, a position with Spartan Air Lines, Ltd. He desires to obtain the experience of flying multi-engined machines. Spartan Air Lines, Ltd., operates between London and the Isle of Wight. The chief pilot is Mr P. W. Lynch-Blosse, who was one of the pilots for Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith and Mr T. P. Ulm, with Australian National Airways.
