BROOKLANDS ELECTRICITY REDEMPTION LOAN, £I3OO, 1935. WHEREAS a Loan of One thousand 'Five hundred pounds (£1500), raised ■ on the Ist day of April, 1925, by the Waimairi County Council for the purpose of constructing Electrical Reticulation in that area known as the Brooklands Electric Lighting Loan Special ! Rating Area, becomes due and payable on th Q 31st day of March, 1935, AND WHEREAS, the accumulated Sinking , Fund provided in that respect to such Loan is insufficient to repay the full amount of same, the sum of One | thousand Three hundred pounds 1 (£1300) is required for that purpose. NOW THEREFORE the Waimairi County Council in exercise of the i powers vested in it in that behalf by j the "Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926." i the "Local Bodies Loans Board Act. • .1926," and the consent of the Local Bodies Loans Board dated the 20th dav of March. 1935, HEREBY RESOLVES by way of SPECIAL ORDER:— FIRSTLY, to borrow the sum of One thousand Three hundred pounds (£1300) for the purpose of paying off the said Loan. SECONDLY, that the said sum of One thousand Three hundred pounds (£1300) shall be repayable on the 31st day of March. 1950. or such earlier date as may be determined by the Council. " THIRDLY, that for the purpose of providing Interest (3£ per cent.), Sinking Fund, and other charges on the said Loan the Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of One Penny in the £ on the Rateable Value ' being Capital Value) of all the Rateable property in the Brooklands Electric Lighting Loan Special Rating Area as defined in a notice published in "The Press" newspaper on the 12th day of March. 1925, and such Rate shall be an annually recurring Rate payable on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such Loan or until the Loan is fully paid off.
