WATER DELIVERED AT FEATHERSTON
SEVERE SHORTAGE OF SUPPLIES (rRBSS iSSOCHTIOM TIT.EGSAH.) CARTERTON, February 5. The water supply in Featherston is so low that it has been found necessary for the water inspector to carry quantities round the streets. Practically the only water the town can get is from an artesian well in a cordial factory, which the owner has placed at the disposal of residents. A bell is rung as the water-cart moves through the streets, and residents help themselves from the conveyance.
