CONVICTED OF ASSAULT

At the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr Justice Kennedy, William McKean pleaded not guilty to a charge of committing an indecent assault on a 16-year-old girL An alternative chprge of common assault was preferred, accused again pleading not guilty. Accused was found guilty of common assault and sentenced to 21 days' imprisonment with hard labour.
