(SPECIAL TO THE PEBSS.) ' BLENHEIM, February 5. A motor accident occurred about 9 o'clock last evening at Lake Grass-" mere, near "Ward. Messrs Ben Boyce and Trevor Boyce, of Blenheim, were ■ returning from Kaikoura in a lighftruck with a trailer, and coming down One Tree Hill they noticed a car approaching from the opposite direction. Both cars met on a-bad corner and Boyce's car went off the road, the car rolling down over the side of a cutting and turning completely over, three or four times before coming to Trevor Boyce was thrown clear, but the driver was imprisoned in the cab. Both had a lucky escape from injury. The truck was extensively damaged, but the trailer was not even scratched. At a meeting of the Marlborough Bowling Club last evening, Mr A. R. Graham presiding, it was decided to offer the use of the green for one day and one night to the fire brigade * demonstration. ■ *■■ Arrangements were made to hold an . electric light tournament on February 13, 14, and 16, entries closing on February 11. Personal Mr C. S..'Markson, of London, who : has been a guest at the Club Hotel, left for Nelson this morning. Mr S. Masters, of Chrisfcchurch, is; staying at the Club Hotel. Mr V. Clemens, of Christchurch, is visiting Blenheim and staying at [ Barry's Hotel. Senior-Sergeant E. Quayle, of Greymouth, who was formerly stationed at Blenheim, is spending a few days in Blenheim, accompanied by Mrs Quayle and his son. Mr E. F. Healy, M.P., returned from Kaikoura last night, and left this afternoon for Kenepuru. He will return to Blenheim in time to attend the annual reunion of the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association on Saturday night, and will leave for Wellington on Sunday. Cricket The cricket fixtures for next Saturday are as follows: Senior Grade—Awatere v. Picton, at Sejddon; Wairau v. Tuamartaa, at Horton Park; Marshlands v. fcwi B, at Marshlands; Kiwi A a bye. Junior Grade—Spring Creek v. College; Picton v. Albion B; Celtic v. Wairau; Tuamarina v. Marshlands; I Albion a bye.
