OLD COINS FOUND BY FARMER
ENGLISH TREASURE TROVE LONDON, January 27. A farmer at Muckleford, near Dorchester, noticed gold coins unearthed by cattle grazing near a ditch. When he dug round the spot he found a collection of 100 coins, sovereigns, half-sovereigns, and crowns minted in the reigns of James I and Charles I. The Dorchester coroner will hold a treasure trove enquiry. Five miles away a hoard of Roman coins was found in 1934.
