In the Sheffield Shield cricket match, New South Wales, first innings, scored 255 (Robinson 57, FleetwoodSmith seven lor 113). Victoria, second innings, 226 (Bigg 33, Scaiffe 44, Lee 54, Chilvers six for 76). ENGLISH WOMEN'S TOUR CANTERBURY TEAM SELECTED A match between a team of Canterbury girl cricketers and the visiting women's cricket team from England will be played at Lancaster Park on February 7. The following representative players have been chosen by the selection committee, consisting of Misses A. Scott and I. Grant, and Mr F. Woods: — Misses M. Marks, V. Belworthy, S. Garner (Mai Moa); P. Taylor, R. Symons, D. Preece, M. Norman (Technical); M. Preece, H. Watson, J. Webster (High School Old Girls); E. Hooper (Argyle House), and A. Sibley (Beckenham). The following are the official nominations from Canterbury for the New Zealand women's team to play against the visitors:—Misses M. Marks, P. Taylor, J. Webster, D. Preece, R. Symons, S. Garner, V. Belworthy, and M. Norman.
