CROQUET
CENTENARY TOURNAMENT OPENS (UNITED press association—Bl BMSCTKIO TELEOBAPH—COPTBIGHT.) (Received January 20, 7.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE, January 19. The Centenary croquet tournament opened to-day. Colonel du Pre (England), H. P. Stratton (New Zealand), and C. J. Miller and J. C. Windsor (Australia) played an exhibition game, Forty-four players have entered for the singles championship, which is virtually the world's championship. There are 19 pairs in the doubles, which will begin on Monday.
