REOPENING NEXT SATURDAY Under the new management of Stadium Sports, Ltd.,.Monica Parte speedway •Will be officially Opened by the Mayor, Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P., next Saturday night, when two leading English riders, Ray Taylor and Ken Kirk•man, will be seen yin action for the first time in Christchurch. Taylor, who is due in England under contract for Easter, is a well-known figure -on the Coventry track there, and Kirkman comes from, Wembley. They have both beeh racing this Season in Australia, where they have been favourites with the' speedway crowds, and they are <iu& in Christchurch from Sydney to-morrow. The tsack Monica: Park lias been thoroughly reconditioned. Special attention is being paid to handicapping, so as to ensure goad Xacing, and the new management promises that there Will be no waiting between events. Special arrangements have, been made ifor an'augmented tramway service on Saturday night.
