FUNERAL
MR G. G. HOLMES The funeral of Mr George Gordon Holmes took place at the Halswell churchyard on. Saturday morning. The large procession, which left the residence, "Knocklynn," and a number of beautiful wreaths testified to Mr Holmes's popularity. The services, in the Halswell Anglican Church and at the graveside, were conducted by the Rev. Canon -H. Williams. . The chief mourners were his widow, Mr Gordon Holmes (son), Mr J, A. Holmes (brother), Mrs R. E. Procter and Mrs A. McMasters (sisters), Mrs C. Paterson (daughter), Miss B. Procter (niece) and Messrs J. L. Holmes and S. L. Holmes (nephews).
