HAIR AND BEAUTY CULTURE
Not many years ago the Permanent Wave, or "Perm" as it is now termed for brevity, was considered a luxury —now a vital necessity, not only by the leaders of fashion and society, but by tb.6 majority of women of the civilised world. NOW the "Perm" ha* certainly come to stay. The process in the past, however, i has been something of an ordeal, not I to mention the constant dread of the ) electrical apparatus through the i operation of which a "Perm" was ob- | tained. j It must, then, corneas welcome news ! to most women to hear that a process, known as the "SOPERMA METHOD," is now being introduced into Christchurch—indeed this is its first appearance in the Dominion, and what j is more it is being used exclusively by I the "MAISON CHIVERTON" Salons, j at 123 Cashel street, opposite Ballaniynes. j Society leaders and Beauty Editors I of two continents are most enthusias- ! tic about this new method, giving as it _ does any type of wave desired—with a remarkable natural appearance. But what is more remarkable still is that -perfect results are obtained without any electrical machine whatsoever. Miss Chiverton, of the "MAISON CHIVERTON." advises that extensive preparations have been made to cope with this added feature in their Salons, where ladies of Christchurch have always found the service to be of the very highest class. Within a few days the "MAISON i CHIVERTON" will be announcing that j Mrs Renie Higgs, of Sydney and Melbourne will be arriving in Christ- ; church to join their staff of operators, j and will be introducing the very latest methods, both American and Continental, of Permanent Waving, and Hair I and Beauty Culture. _6 i u_ , ; j
