Macfarlane for a further period to March 31 as members of the Broadcasting Board, the Hon. Adam Hamilton said that the period was made short because it was the intention of the Government to place proposals before next session of Parliament for altering the Broadcasting Act. It would be for the House to decide whether suggestions should be embodied in the statute and it was not proposed to make public the proposed amendments until they were first disclosed to members of the House.
