VISIT OF AUSTRALIAN WARSHIP
GIFT FOR ENTERTAINMENT OF MEN The secretary of the H.M.A.S. Australia Entertainment Committee has received a cheque for £5 from the Waimairi County Council as a donation towards the funds for entertaining the ship's company when visiting the city. Donations in cash and gifts of fruit, sweets, liquid refreshments, cigarettes, and tobacco would be much appreciated by the committee and may be addressed to the secretary (Mr S. H. Helmling), care of the City Council Chambers.
