WATERFRONT HOLIDAYS In accoi'dance with the usual practice, waterside workers at Lyttelton will cease work at noon to-day. They will resume on Thursday morning. Magistrate's Court At the Magistrate's Court on Saturday, before Messrs F. E. Sutton and J. N. Neville, Justices of the Peace, James Morton and John Thomas Murphy were convicted of fighting in a public place and each was fined £3. in default 14 days' imprisonment. Train Services ; As a half-holiday will be observed j on the waterfront to-day, a special train will leave Lyttelton for Christchurch at 12.10 p.m. . To meet the convenience of shop-1 pers and of Lyttelton residents em- j ployed in Christchurch shops, the train I which usually leaves Christchurch for Lyttelton at 10.5 p.m. will be delayed 10 minutes, leaving at 10.15 p.m. The usual 10.55 p.m. train from Christchurch will leave at 11.0 p.m. A special late train will leave Christchurch at 11.45 p.m. To-morrow, Christmas Day, what is practically a Sunday service will be run, with a slight alteration in the evening for the steamer-express service.
