AERO CLUB FLIGHTS

A trip to Hastings and back was made by Mr A. G. Lester on Saturday in a Canterbury Aero Club's Moth. On the trip up he carried Miss Cherry Smith as passenger. He returned solo on Saturday af-ternoon. The club's commercial pilot, Mr J. J Busch, unsuccessfully attempted a flight to the West Coast late on Saturday afternoon. He left with Dr. E. R. Reav as passenger in the Fox Moth, but was unable to cross the range because of bad weather, and returned to the aerodrome.
