"There are still some employers who labour under the misapprehension that the juvenile unemployment problem still exists, and think that they arc doing something to help when they offer a position at very low wages," stated Mr A. A. Kirk, vocational master at the Wellington Technical College, in a report presented to the Board of Governors at a meeting this week. "Two years ago," Mr Kirk added, "this problem was acute, and some of the boys of this college suffered because of it, but the position was relieved somewhat by the sympathetic co-opera-tion of employers and by the service of vocational guidance offered at the time. Our experience to-day goes to prove that at the moment there is no juvenile employment problem for well-disciplined and well-trained girls and boys. Our problem is to find candidates for the positions offering. Quite recently we had enquiries for 21 positions in one day, only sbc 01-srfaicbi-could t» filled." _
