Ainsworth .presided. The attendance was larger than al any previous meeting. A mctieu of .-yinpalhy with the relatives of the late Mi-' James Wilsc. was passed in silence, and it was decided to forward a letter of condolence to Mrs Wilson. Mr J. C. Free reported • hat he had received a number ot choice chrysanthemum plants from the Rev. S. Eailc\ and had planted them on a sectic: owned by him situate in George street pending the securmu el a pcrmancn' home for plants given to the association. The chairman reported *!hr,t m lis recent judging one ot the .judges !v.'i stated that on a i-umpelilive basis I. 1 "' gardens inspected compared tavern - ably with anything inspected in Christ church. The chairman reucrted that I'i.u additional prizes had been given. At the conclusion of the business Mr R.
