At the Otago Swimming Centre's carnival to-night, Walter Jarvis (Dunedin) and Reg Clark (the Australian visiting swimmer) swam a dead heat in the 50 yards scratch race. The time was 24 4-ssec. They met again in the 100 yards scratch race, Jarvis winning by a touch in 57 l-ssec H Tickle, the Australian high-board champion, gave a brilliant display
