"Your lamb-raising country is in marvellous condition, and it's wonderful what your country is able to produce," stated Mr A. S. Kidman, a nephew of Sir Sidney Kidman, in an interview before he left for Australia on Wednesday. "The number of ewes and lambs carried per acre in many districts is really remarkable, and only the exceptionally good Australian districts can in any way compare with it. The North Island seems to have the best pastures; of course the South Island lambs are not as far advanced. It is really a very wonderful stock country."
