♦ MAN ADMITS SEVENTEEN CHARGES iPH«.-5S ASSOCIATION TELEOSAM.) AUCKLAND, November 15. A young man who prowled in the suburbs, entering houses in the early morning and stealing money and goods, admitted 17 charges in the Police Court to-day. He was John Francis Schdroski, aged 29, a cook. Most of the offences were committed between April and October, when he stole £sl in money and £l4O in goods. The prisoner, in a statement, said he usually operated between 2 and 4 o'clock in the morning. On entering the house in bare feet, he usually opened the front and back doors, enabling him to make a speedy exit. He often had supper in the kitchen and drank the milk left on the doorstep.
