PIONEER M/OTOR CLUB FIXTURES November 17—Hill climb. December I—Scott scramble. December 16—Christmas T.T. meeting and sports carnival at Harewood. NOTES The following are the rules governing the hill climb to-morrow:— 1. The climbs will be held on St. Andrew's Hill. Heathcote, just over the Ferry bridge on the road to Sumner. The course is approximately 500 yards long, with a smooth road surface. 2. Any riders reported to have practised on the hill before the running of the events will be disqualified. 3. The following, events will be run —350 c.c. scratch event; unlimited c.c. scratch event, and a sealed handicap. 4. Each competitor will be allowed one trial run for the day and two runs in each event for which he has entered. 5. Each machine will be started with the front wheel at a distance of six feet from the timing line. Optional methods of starting are:—(a) Clutch start; (b) push start with two assistants. 6. Competitors must he ready to start when required by the officials. 7. No competitor will be allowed to start unless his machine has Government registration plates affixed and is equipped with sufficient brakes. 8. Crash helmets must be worn by all competitors. 9. A rerun will be allowed If the officials are satisfied that any competitor hr»s been baulked. 10. The committee reserves the right to alter or add to the.conditions, provided alterations or additions are notified to each competitor before the events commence. 11. Any protest must be lodged with the secretary not later than 30 minutes after the conclusion of the last event, and must be accompanied by a deposit of 10s, which will be returned or not at the discretion* of the committee. 12. The decision of the committee in all matters will be final. The officials will be:—Starter, Mr P. Jones: timekeepers, Messrs R. H. Parker and E. J. Bradshaw; competitors' steward, Mr W. Lawrence; flag steward, Mr P. J. Butcher; course stewards, Mr H. S. Butcher and assistants. CORSAIR MOTOR CLUB FIXTURES November 25—Excursion to Greymouth. December 2—Miniature T.T. Races, Moeraki Downs. December 9—Final Sports Day at Motukarara.

The Corsair Motor Club's sports meeting at the Prebbleton domain attracted a big gathering of riders and their friends, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed an excellent programme. On the journey out to the domain, a speed estimating contest was held and a surprising number of riders were accurate enough to judge the speeds set them. Three riders at speeds from 14 miles an hour to 33 miles an hour, arrived at the secret check at the correct time, while no fewer than 12 made errors of less than a minute.

December I—Week-end Social Run to Akaroa. . February 23—Beach Racing. The opening run will be held next; Sunday at Loburn Domain. Those taking part will assemble opposite the Theatre Royal at 9.30 a.m. A firstclass programme has been arranged for the day, including athletic events for both children and adults. Hot water, tea. sugar, and milk will be provided free of charge. During the day, Mr C. Bell will give an account of his experiences while in Japan and Northern China, from which countries he has recently returned. According to the New Zealand "Motor-Cycle," the North Island clubs, particularly in Auckland, are finding it necessary to have the full support of the trade to assist them to carry on. The form of assistance required has been summed up as follows: ' Participation in trials either personally or by nominating teams. Attendance at club functions and assisting in running them.
